Doll Museum

Hello honeys!

A few days ago I was at my parent's place and I visited a Barbie-specific museum.
I really felt nostalgic, because I used to collect Barbies as well. I even saw a few I used to have.
Here's the link. *clicky* It's in German however.
I do have an obsession with dolls!

Now to the pictures.

NL Trip Feb '12

Hello there!

It's been a week since I got back from NL and I didn't have time to blog about it yet.
But here we go!~

☆彡☆彡☆彡

I've been to the Netherlands from 3rd Feb to 12th. I stayed at my friend Mika's place and got to meet the people he lives with! It was fun! We also cooked nearly every day so I got to know some new Japanese recipes and such!
♪(ノ´∀`*)ノ

I travelled to Amsterdam, Leiden, Den Haag and Utrecht so I've been to quite some places during my stay. I also got to meet my friends Irene, Mali and Gerben.

☆彡☆彡☆彡

Anyways here are the pics I wanted to share!

Kawaii kitten handluggage trolley! I should've bought it.

Cute beads shop!

Bunny in petshop

All-you-can-eat the Japanese way!

Frozen canals in Leiden! It's been really cold outside.

Awesome vintage shoppe in Amsterdam!

Lovely lilac chandelier from Xenos. Waaant!

Cute pink kitschy store! Loved it!

Mali, Irene and my drinks!

Lace and trims everywhere! Went crazy there. XD

Irene, me and Mali!

Awesome pancake-ish thingies in Amsterdam!

☆彡☆彡☆彡

Well that's my trip in pictures!

I still have to take pics of all the stuff I bought there.
I had a lot of fun there watching nice movies, going out (once!), shopping and generally spending time with amazing people. I hope I can go back there someday again! /miss

Today's Christmas Eve!

Hello there.

Today's Christmas Eve! Eek! (´・ω・)ノ★*゚

Sorry I didn't really feel like blogging the last few weeks.
My life's quite busy with school, work and friends.

However I'm currently working on my historical roccoco costume in school. It's going quite well. Of course it's a shitload of work but I knew that before I even started.
The design changed a bit though. I went for a softer look focusing on creamy white and apricot. It's still gonna be clustered with pearls and lace though.
(o´∀`o)

By the way I must have had my first blog anniversary without even noticing it. Haha :D Wish I'd be as active and inspired as I was when I began blogging.
☆彡
I'm planning to go to NL again in the semester holidays! It was a kind of spontaneous idea. I'm working on a coat for my mom's friend and a vest for another friend of hers. So that's gonna at least cover the flight. Pretty excited actually. I didn't book yet but I'm planning the trip atm. Still need to decide where to stay for the most practical reasons.
☆彡
My friend Mali worked on a BJD face up for me for some time. I told her I want something gyaru-inspired. I'm really happy with the result so I decided to share it here!

☆彡

And last but not least a recent pic of myself. My hairstyle is so versatile! It's short everywhere but on the top. So I can style it, leave it unstyled, curl it, slick it back or whatever!

I love my fake fox fur scarf! H&M

Enjoy your holidays!

aka. Merry Christmas.

Lolita meet-up and artsy stuff

Hi theree!~~
How are you?

☆ミ☆ミ☆ミ

Last Saturday there's been a local Lolita meet-up that I attended. We met up in front of the Volkstheater and took some pictures.

We had to wait ages for everyone to arrive. Of course I was there 10 minutes too early just to be sure. Haha~ However when everyone was there we took some more pictures and asked a passenger to take a group pic of us. After that we had dinner at an Austrian restaurant.

Later there would've been a concert of the band Lolita Komplex but I wasn't able to attend that sadly. But I heard there's gonna be another one in December so it's not that bad.

Since I didn't know what to wear I've sewn a frilly shirt the night before.
Excuse my derpy face. Here's what I wore:

Tophat: customized by me
Black frilly shirt: made by me
Vampire Requiem vest: made by me; fabric from Oo Jia
Shorts: customized by me

I enjoy sewing rori-able stuff for myself! ♪(ノ´∀`*)ノ

☆ミ☆ミ☆ミ

On Friday I went to a fabric store and bought lots of unnecessary stuff. As always.. ε-(´・`) フ

A lovely hot pink rep, a tiny white/peachy stripe and an old wooden spool of bordeaux yarn.

A soft, orange-y polka dot cotton, peachy lace trims and pearl buttons.

A light black white stripe, cotton lace trim and polyester lace.

As you can tell I'm slightly obsessed with lace.. (o*・ω・)ノ

☆ミ☆ミ☆ミ

I also promised to post more of the stuff I'm working on in school. For now all you get is the finished design. (ノ´∀`*)ノ

Gonna work with apricot-coloured brocade fabric, light rose-patterned organza and soft creamy grosgrain. And of course lots of lace, frills, bows and pearls! (ノ´∀`*)ノ

Next time I'll show you the almost-finished pannier underskirt!

Hope you liked this post!

Hello theree~~ ♪(ノ´∀`*)ノ
How are you?

I'm still busy/lazy/tired all the time. I guess I have something like a harvest depression! Can't stand the weather at the moment. It gets dark too fast for my taste..

However I thought I should share some stuff I made/bought the last few weeks.
Some weeks ago we had a subject called surface processing where we dyed some fabric samples. We used bleach, coffee, tea, beetroot, curry and manganese to dye. I was really surprised how easily you can change a garments/fabric's appearance just by putting it into some kind of brew. I decided to dye a fabric I'll use for my historical Rococo dress with black tea. And I also dyed some lace today!

The past few weeks I've also been wracking my brain about what to do after I finished this school in July. Either I'll find a nice job in the fashion industry or study something. I would also like to study Japanese in university but I'm not quite sure. I've also been toying with the idea of a make-up artist training. So much to think about.. (*´ο`*)=3 However I already bought a cheap eyeshadow palette if I really decide to go that way.

I've been working on the design of the historical dress and we have to hand in the final design on Tuesday. Today I went to a nearby scrapbooking store and bought some nice stuff! I really like that store and I'm gonna get more stuff there in the future.

I also bought a cute little mirror last week!
You can spot me inside. (ノ´∀`*)ノ

Next time I'll try to take some pics of the historical dress project I'm working on in school!
It's gonna be awesome~~

Cheers,

Old times!

Hello there!
Today I finally had time for stuff I haven't done in some time. ♪(ノ´∀`*)ノ

My friend Hanna came over after school and we cooked together. As I still had a package of peanut sauce laying around I bought in Den Haag, I figured we should eat french fries with mayonaise, onion and peanut sauce! Made me feel a little nostalgic about my trip last summer and I even looked through the pictures I took there~ (TεT)

It didn't taste exactly like the ones I had in NL but they were pretty good nevertheless!

After that we watched quite some episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" and we even decided to craft some deco sweets! Something I haven't done in ageeees. And I gotta say I kinda missed it.
I tried to make roses for the first time and they worked out okay-ish. Still need some improvement though. I hope I'll have more time for stuff like this in the future.

School's okay so far. Loads of hand sewing which kinda freaks me a bit out because my fingers always hurt after the lessons. However tomorrow I might go buy fabric for the Rococo dress I'll be sewing! Excited!~~ (ノ^_^)ノ

I'll also start looking for a weekend job since money's quite a bitch lately. I ended up using much more than I thought and not everythings working out the way I calculated.. Hard times.

I also want to get my hair cut soon! So tired of it. I really need a change!

Thanks for reading.

Luts Tea Party

Hello everyone~

Last week I've been to a tea party hosted by the Korean BJD company Luts.
The meet took place in a hotel in Vienna which was quite convenient since I live there now.

I had to apply to join the tea party and I got accepted! Altogether we were 8 participants and a lovely host! The host had her honeymoon in Austria so she decided to host the tea party there as well~~

Funny thing is that there were only two Austrian people. Including me. The others were from Germany and Hungary.

We had a nice chat about the company itself and BJDs in general. The host presented the tea party exclusive dolls, heads and outfit sets and I even ordered one of the outfit sets!

Afterwards we had time to take pictures of everyone's dolls and the limited ones. Here are some pics I took!

Gaia~

We also got some nice freebie stuff! A Luts headband for a person and a dolly, a cup with a Luts print and printed pictures!

I really enjoyed the tea party! I wish I'd have had a chance to meet more Austrian BJD collectors though! Too bad~

Netherlands Day 7-11

Hihii~

This is the last part of my journey to the Netherlands. I want to go back already! (;´д` )

On the seventh day we went to Den Haag~ Irene introduced me to lots of cheap-ish shops! I love cheap shops in NL. We had lunch at Dutch fries with peanut sauce, mayonaise and onion. Love it! (σ^▽^)σ

We ate dessert at a place called Cheescake Company! I had summer berries cheesecake~

In a side street we found a cute Asian accessories shop! I bought quite some stuff there. (●>v<●)

Here's what I got:

Crafty stuff and lovely stickers~

Cute drippy strawberry keychain mirror and a nice cross necklace! ♪(゚▽^*)ノ⌒☆

Lovely ear piercings and a sailor-esque brooch~

☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡

On Monday we stayed at home playing games on the Playstation and doing crafty stuff~ I drafted some patterns for bigger sized BJDs.

That day I also had to send away some stuff I bought in NL because my luggage would've been overweight if not. Lol~ (*^_^;)

☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡

Tuesday was a day I've been really looking forward to! I met up with my friends Gerby and Mika and we went on a shopping spree in Amsterdam.
I kinda regret not bringing the cam to that trip..

I bought some nice cardigans at River's Island. God I LOVE that shop! Still need to take pics~

After some time walking through Amsterdam, to several clothes, books and shoe stores we had dinner at some random asian-esque whatever place! The food there was.. okay.
I had some weird soup with egg and rice and fried rice with chicken.

After that we thought it'd be fun to go have some cocktails at a bar. Of course I had to take the cocktail with the most ridiculous name ever: Red Panties.
(>ω<*)ノ ♥

I had lots of fun that day! Was nice to meet people you only know via the interwebz in person!~
σ(゚ー^*)

☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡

Time passed by so quickly and it was the 13th already. That day I had to pack my suitcase and get some cheese prezzies! My plane left at 9.40 pm-ish.

While waiting at the airport I got myself some iced café latte at Starbucks.

My plane had some delay and I arrived at around 11.30 pm-ish in Munich.
I finally got home at 3 am. Ugh~~ Exhausing trip!

☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡☆彡

I really enjoyed my stay in NL and it was so nice meeting new people there! I also really liked the landscape: FLATNESS! haha~ However I want to go there again sometime!
