Strawberry Roll Cake and school issues..

Hello dear followers!

On Friday I went shopping again~ I feel like I'm spending too much money lately. I had to get a few Deco-supplies though. I am currently working on my diploma project about the evolution of fashion in Japan. So far I did 18 pages! 7 more to go~ I'm also supposed to do a few basic patterns and do a layout for my diploma project. On Wednesday I'll have an admission interview on a Master School which would focus on theatrical dressmaking and last one year. I'll still try to apply on the University of Applied Arts in Vienna but since they only take about 10 students, I need a backup plan.
However, here is what I bought:

Later that day, my mom and I decided to bake! We had two packages of strawberries so we made a strawberry roll cake. I made the filling and my mom made the biscuit base.

Shopping spree!!

Hello again~
On Monday I went shopping to Salzburg!
I love hunting clothes on sale's time! I snatched a few nice things! And spent quite a lot of money. (*´ο`*)=3 Here's what I got:

On the spotlight: Black Swan

Hello dear blog readers!
Sorry about my inactivity, but school work was killing me. Or more likely still does.
However I've seen Black Swan twice last week as it was really fascinating me.

Today's on the spotlight is the movie Black Swan.


Black Swan was directed by Darren Aronofsky and is a psychological thriller starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel. It's been nominated for several awards already and I feel like it's the most breathtaking film I've seen in quite some time!

Nina (Natalie Portman) is a member of a prestigious New York City ballet company and which is going to play Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. She gets to play the swan queen, which is the leading role of the show. She practices hard to get as good as possible and she's trying to be perfect in every way. Though she can't really present the black swan well enough. Throughout the film, she experiences her darker side to perfectly represent the black swan.

I don't want to spoiler too much! You should definitely watch the movie~ It's a masterpiece. I'm really picky with movies and series but this film really took my breath away. Also the way of filming and the editing were fascinating~
I'm planning to make a black and white swan outfit for my BJD which should be arriving next month. Also ballet seems really interesting to me now.

Cutesy Misako Aoki Clip!!

Hello again~

When I was browsing through my tumblr Dashboard, I came across a lovely YouTube clip featuring my beloved Lolita model - Misako Aoki! I just felt like I have to post it~
The clip includes a make-up tutorial by Namiki Akio, who's a leading expert of Lolita make-ups featured in Kera and so on. It also shows us what's important in a Lolita model's life! Misako also states that Harajuku is like the fashion-center of Tokyo! You should go there neatly dressed and maybe one of Kera's staff will ask you to be a model!

Black and White..

Hello~
Today I decided to take pics of my BJDs again.
I took photos of Rielle and Ayori. Rielle wore the same dress as on the last photo but I couldn't help it! I just love the dress to bits. （　´∀｀） Ayori went back to black again. When I got her she was wearing black wigs too. I don't know if I like her that much in black though.. She looks better in golden-brown-ish.

Week's summary..

Hello dear blog readers!

Sadly I've been seriously sick this week. I went to the doctor's on Tuesday and I got antibiotics because of my bad cold. I drank lots of tea and stayed at home. (*´ο`*)=3
When I felt better I tidyed a bit and rearranged my small cupboard where I store all the crafty stuff inside.
There's still a lot to put in but right now it ended up looking like this!


On Wednesday I had an appointment in Vienna that I had to attend even though I was sick. I was interviewing an Austrian designer for my school-project about "Fashion in Japan". I also took the rare opportunity to meet up with my friend Yuri! We went to a Japanese restaurant and had Onigiri and Matcha-Smoothies! (ﾉ´∀｀*)ﾉ



On Thursday morning I didn't really feel that well either. I decided to stay at home until midday and go to school in the afternoon. When I got up I saw that a parcel had arrived! Deco-den and jewellry stuff!!~
Here's what I got:




I really love the lavender, blue and baby pink rhinestones! I can't wait to use them on something~~

After school some friends and I decided to have some cake in a nice café!
I got a strawberry-milkshake~ It was so yummy!


So that was pretty much the summary of my week!
There's still lots of stuff to do in this school term.. One more week to go until we got half-term vacations!

Parcel surprise!

Hello there~
Since I caught a bad cold I'm staying at home for some days. Today when eating breakfast the postman brought a surprise parcel from my dolly friend Irene (clicky for the blog)!!
Irene's been staying in Xiamen, China for about 6 months and also visited Hongkong and Japan~ She's my best and only dolly-friend who got me into BJDs. She also inspires me a lot with her photography and dolls. (clicky for her flickr)
Irene and I are basically into the same stuff as for music and fashion too! She's almost like a soulmate to me ♥ Thank you!

On the spotlight: MAA

Hello there!

Today's on the spotlight will be featuring the japanese singer MAA.
When I was checking through japanese music blogs for new electro-ish J-pop I came across this really interesting singer.
Now some facts about MAA.

Her real name is Maria Tanaka and she's the daughter of an American father and a Japanese Mother. She was born on 25 January, 1986 which makes her 25 years old. Her voice is really deep and quite unique and so are her MVs. Maria is also the lead singer of the band MarBell.
The style of MarBell is described as "gothic shoegaze", earnest, dark, edgy and melodic with a musical style that recalls punk sensibilities and heartfelt ballads, according to their official homepage. MarBell is often dressed in outfits by h.NAOTO. So far Marbell has realeased one Album named "Sister".

Maria has got thirteen tattoos on her body; the alligator on her back is her symbol. She’s a strong Christian with a rough nature due to her outgoing and carefree personality.



In December Maria has had her solo debut with the album "Monkey Kingdom". It features electro-ish songs and other genres mixed. My personal favorite song by MAA is "Ballerina brain system".



MAA will release her next album "GOSSIP" on the 22nd of September 2011.

Sales hunting!!

Hey there~
Today afternoon I checked out all the close-by shops that were still on sale.

I managed to snatch a few really reasonably priced clothes!
I was especially happy about a certain pair of jeans. They're purple-ish jeans and I was about to buy them sometime before Christmas! Sadly I can only get nice basics around here. I tend to buy accessories like scarves at more exclusive shops.
Here's what I got today:

A grey-violet striped v-neck pullover for 6€ instead of 25€
A dark-grey-ish blazer with felt elbow patches for 20€ instead of 100€ (!!!)
The grey pair of jeans was 5€ instead of 20€ and the purple jeans were 4€ instead of 30€!
And I went to a kid's store too and got a Disney Princess gashapon!
I got Arielle the Mermaid! ♪(ﾉ´∀｀*)ﾉ

Since I felt sorry for neglecting my Pullips, I decided to take photos of Dawn, my hime-ish Pullip. First she was a Paja but she's had a tough life going through many makeovers. The final look she's got now was given to her by my friend Irene. She did her new faceup!

Belated X-mas Pressie from my friend ♥

Hello dear blog readers,

On Monday I got a kind of belated Christmas present from my friend.

My friend is really supportive and she's into nail-design and fashion!
She ordered the stuff about 3 weeks before Christmas but it didn't arrive until last week! Screw the shop's shipping service. (*´ο`*)=3 But I must say I love surprises and this was really a great one!~~

Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ This was one of the best pressies this Christmas~
